Under the name AcousticOST, San Francisco-based guitarist Matt Fish explores the music from anime and video game soundtracks. Blending classical technique with the percussive elements of fingerstyle guitar, Matt produces powerful, beautiful, and technically impressive arrangements for solo guitar, transforming the original work to give the music a life of its own.
Matt has performed throughout the United States for the South Bay Guitar Society, Sacramento Guitar Society, Springfield Classical Guitar Society, University of Louisville Guitar Festival, Knoxville Guitar Society, Dayton Guitar Society, Sierra Nevada Guitar Festival, SF Bay Classical Guitar Festival, Illinois Wesleyan School of Music, Hot Air Music Festival, and the Guitar Foundation of America Regional Symposium in San Francisco.
Matt received his Bachelor’s of Music Degree from CSU, Chico where he studied with guitarist Tobin Roye. He later went on to the San Francisco Conservatory of Music to study with Latin Grammy award-winning guitarist and composer Sérgio Assad, where he received his Master’s of Music Degree in 2012.
Matt plays a Kenny Hill Signature Model guitar.
